This is the weirdest survivalist island manga I’ve read…. In a while. Can’t quite put it at the top, amazingly enough.

Short anwser, yes.

Long Anwser, Novel volume 2 somewhere past chapter 2 from what I remember.
From chapter 1 of the webnovel, this is his line.「――クラフト能力だな」

It considers the person's ideas. If it was you who thought of it that way, sure. But you are missing quite a bit of info. It'll become apparent (it is explicitly stated) once we reach the end of Day 1 in 2 or 3 chapters, but you wouldn't be able to escape like that. This is essentially a pocket dimension/realm where the powers that be are curtailing things. No time is actually passing in the real world.

I'll also point out that you added a limitation on your own ability there by even considering mana costs at all.
Besides, Chiyu is a white mage. Her thoughts may include leveling up magic to improve it, but her healing does recover fatigue as a base. Our gal, Shouko, can summon fluffy things. The other two cover girls can detect lies and use Elemental Magic.

This is mostly end of day 2 or summary spoilers from the WN

As stated earlier, gods or things that might as well be made the island. Time has effectively stopped in the real world for every participant.

Each day you live is added to your life as base. You get given points based on how you lived, but will not be given your point total. Dying locks in your value and days added.

You get penalized for killing people (-1825) or dying (-100), with some mysterious amount of time being spent comatose based on how negative your points go. The assumption is each point below zero is a day spent in a coma after you wake up, but wasn't clarified.

Escape is possible without dying, and sufficiently high point value, bonuses might be given. What that means, who knows. I think the implication is returning with things like your ability.

Enough about escaping, on to the girls.

Each girl will slowly have sexual relations. Chiyu is definitely the lewdest of these first girls, considering she pushes for the harem. And given her magic recovers fatigue in that way as well. . .

Shouko is the air-headed gal. Her ability is definitely the second most useful on a day-to-day basis. While she does keep Mashiro, the Fenrir that can ferry the group all at once, summoned at all times; her powers can also summon sheep or anything she considers fluffy. That being said, it also requires her to have a clear idea of what the target to summon is (no cashmere goats). And it explicitly can't be used for summoning animals to slaughter. That limitation might be imposed by her since the wish she had was about animal friends, not food, but it might also be from the entity(ies).

Shion, the girl behind Shouko, has the ability to tell lies apart. Her ability is not as useful day to day, and that is both intentional on her part and also a source of pain. Her want to fit in and be useful now meets headlong against her own insecurity. That ability is also rooted in how fake almost everyone is. The other 4 are very open books to her without her ability triggering, which helps ease her. It is a light subject, given the nature of the work, but she's the second one to give Sousuke a hand.

The last one of the four joins early day 2, and is the our Iincho/Class President. Her ability, Elemental Magic, isn't perfectly accurate. She's the one to help the most with figuring things out, though Shion and Chiyu help. She has a small complex on her attractiveness, given her personality and disposition, but she joins in pretty easily.

I did say first girls, but that is because the summary informs us that each arc has a group of girls. I'll ISPOILER the rest of this, but I haven't peaked ahead with MTL, so this is pretty much copy/paste and rephrasing from the summary. Arc 2 has a Talented Maid, a Loner Girl, the Teacher, the Kuro Gal, and a Red-headed volleyball girl. Arc 3 has a Samurai Kendoka, a 'Chubby' virgin bitch (ultra lewd virgin), a 'humidity' 湿度高 tolerant Library Committee Girl, and a Charismatic Blonde. Arc 4 adds a 'Laid back Hungry Girl', a 'Calm and Beautiful Girl', a 'Mysterious Bewitching Beauty', an 'Honest and Cool Track Club Member', and a 'Yamato Nadeshiko'.

I'm not sure how some of those aren't technically overlaps, but oh well.

For people curious, the episode (chapter) in the WN with actual penetrative sex, not just handjobs/blowjobs/fingering/etc, is 75. Which is part of Day 6, which should be Vol 2 chapter 3 or 4, considering day 6 was split into two parts in the WN.

I'll read the LN translation shortly to see if much changed.
Damn thanks for the details.
Gonna look out for future updates, hopefully there's no annoying troupe like that similar manga where the villain has a gun and commits SA
