This might be one of the few situations I could let it slide, they are in such an abnormal and high stress situation that the sex drive could come more from instincts than anything deeper. Though, it's pretty clear through the interactions they've had she's been warming up to him for a while. The stressful situations could also distract you from thinking, "Hey do I like this person?".
