I'm trying to put my finger on what exactly put me off of this series, and I think a big part of it is that the artist can draw a total of like, three facial expressions total.

You literally could've taken a single clip-art image of the main character and pasted him into every panel and you'd never notice the difference.

I'd register the grinning faces and the :D faces as the most common ones.

Seriously, Albert is either a genius or the opposing side is just totally incompetent. They can't even counterattack. As Lize said: "This sort of one-sided war seems almost surreal, doesn't it."

This war is one-sided because these are all the staged fights he convinced the local lords to put on, so they can say they tried to fight back and were overpowered. None of these fights were against the Kingdom's incompetent prince.

That would explain the slightly-more-than-usual amount of blankfaces (and masks) too.

On the other hand, nothing particularly wrong with the story, and it's still better art than "Knights of the Dinner Table" has. (Another "comic" that carries solely on "story".)
