He reminds me of that one guy from Yu-gi-oh who had the Toon deck, Wolf man keeps self referencing old wolf based fairy tales and even his art style has a old Loony tunes kind of style about him occasionally.

Reminds me of Sekiro's Mikiri Counter, which was also usable against powerful thrusts only.

I just want to note that "Go no Sen" is three words, not one, and there's a good deal more to it than "attack to block attacks" or whatever. It's one of the three 'initiatives of attack' in Japanese martial arts. Those are: Go no Sen (allow your opponent to attack first, then counter), Sen no Sen (attack at the same time as your opponent, making your attack into both offense and defense), and Sen-Sen no Sen (pre-empt your opponent's attack, strike before they are ready). There's a LOT written about all three and what exactly they mean in different disciplines (Karate, Judo, Kendo, Aikido, etc) and different contexts (like business meetings or social gatherings). Just saying, this could use a TL note. A bigger TL note.
