See, all those romance tropes exist because they're supposed to increase the connection between characters, that should progress the relationship and eventually lead to a meaningful link between them (where they can eventually get on with the biology side of things).
Yet he already has plenty of girls who actually want to have sex with him, and HE is the one who is boxblocking all of them. So why the fuck does he want to go through all those school tropes? They're all just means to ends that are already available to him. It is completely useless with his social situation. Doesn't he realise that?
