How many times does the bad guy have to tell him that he is supplying the mana and the golem keeps reviving because the bad guy is there, standing out in the open, waiting to get sniped - but this dumb plot has the guy keep shooting the golem instead.

That's because the author thinks that, for some reason, directly killing a guy is a sin, but spitting in the ocean while the golem kills a bunch of people, even though their deaths are all indirectly the MC's fault, isn't a sin at all.
