And now we'll see if I'm right or not about the thing I said a few chapters ago.

M2 Browning-kun is the hero we all needed.
2066
Stationed on mars to quell a rebellion
Become side door gunner for atmospheric dropship.
No miniguns or gatling cannons, just some metal brick with a pipe on one end.
Get sent in to extract some wounded.
Reach the evac zone and come under attack.
Horde of rebels charging in with their new plasma guns and compact rocket launchers.
Let loose a stream of bullets.
The sounds of the rebel's screams are nearly drowned out by the heavy "Chunk chunk chunk chunk" of the machine gun.
The wounded are loaded up and returned to base.
Inspect MG afterwards.
Thing was made in 1942
Tunisia, Italy, and Germany are scratched onto the gun.
Scratch "Mars" on with a knife.

I'll just let you people with my favorite copypasta.

This is a minor nitpick but the .50 brass is too small, it looks more like a 7.62 NATO cartridge instead of a .50 BMG. Sure the bullet is half an inch, but the case sure as fuck is not.

Notice that the lower half of the case is as thick as the mans fingers.

Thanks for the new chapter and in quick releases too.

Finally got rid of that stupid hydra; I guess even in our real world, the presence of machine guns can really eff up even the most adaptive and skilled soldiers.

To showcase just how reliable and well-designed the M2 was, back in 2020, they received a very old M2 at the Anniston Army Depot where they overhaul weapons like M2 Brownings and repair/rebuild/refit them to M2A1 standard if need be.

This M2 was damn odd in how old it was. So they looked up the serial number. It was the 324th M2 ever made. Originally off the line from back in late 1920s/early 1930s. This was the 324th M2 to ever be made and assembled. It was almost a century old. And it had been in service without repairs for over 90 years.

Keep in mind, this wasn't a case of like, "Oh, we went through a warehouse and found this thing." No, no. This thing was being used, in service, in the field, for almost a century.

Story about it here:

With that amount of heat, I'd expect the thing to start running away on its own!

"except a minigun"
Nah, the M134 only fires 7.62x51, if we wanna go rotary .50 then there's the GAU-19
