Backblast and explosive radius is a bitch. He could've killed or seriously injured a lot of people in that confined space, including himself.

Confined space my ass. He had at least 15 yards of empty, unobstructed space behind him at basically every moment, never mind the purely directional nature of an anti-tank rocket.
