@Aichan - it's called "teamwork". You can defeat all sorts of monsters you couldn't fight before with a good team.

"can I really do it" it's that a moral question or a strength question?

Being a woman, I can assure you that the monthlies are at worst "annoying, painful and irritating". It doesn't make someone a cripple. Even a woman with the worst period pains will still be able to do their jobs.

So unless this is the kind of "OMG, KILL ME! KILL ME NOW!" kind of fantasy pain where you'd rather commit suicide every month than to go through the monthlies, her fighting skills would not be affected much. But to be generous, let's just say that her power was reduced by half. So her half could not defeat a full beastman power. Then he beastified, which makes him go maybe double his power. So hypothetically, she can still defeat the beastified him when she's at full power.

But now, he's cursed in a way that even the protagonist has to get serious. But the protagonist is the most powerful person in the world, which she couldn't compare. Yet he finds this troublesome and has to decide whether he wants to kill the guy or not. If we want to be generous and say that the protagonist is only 10 times stronger than her (which is not, but let's be generous) and he finds this difficult that he has to resort to killing, what exactly can she do other than die?

@Aichan - this protagonist probably doesn't have to resort to killing. He has to find a way to turn him back before the curse kills him.

@hikufalafel Oh, I know that feel. I had the same opinion of DoFlamingo in One Pice, It doesn't matter how many times I've read, he always feels like he is asspulling powers in order to win the fight. He never makes me feel that his victories against Sanji and Trafalgar were deserved. His fights usually go like, he gets utterly humiliated by either one, then acts like it was nothing and comes with a new power right from the oblivion to turn the game around. Although, this one's case, I'd say that the Manga seem to be doing a better job than novel.

Let me hand you all some sage advice. Never trust anything that bleeds for a week and doesn't die.

That's only half the reason.
The real truth is that he was cursed by his own mother. Basically, He's only allow to kill once, after that she's gonna kill him IIRC. The reason why is because his mom is basically the Grim Reaper and having a son going on a killing spree is gonna cause a lot of issues with work. So he needed the shackles. And lets face it. If she didn't put that shackle in place she would have had to deal with a lot of his victims and she wasn't having any of that bullshit.

@Trov That's actually a lot more interesting, I only heard that it was what I just said to the other person earlier.

Every enemy so far has been under some form of coercion or overly loyal to that one guy. How boring. Even warmongering idiot king might be more interesting.

You know, maybe "girl day" doesn't actually mean "menstruation" per se, considering that we're talking about beastfolk.

Read: I'm referring to estrus, i.e. "being in heat". The way this is usually depicted in sapient animal-like people, it shoots up your combat ability pretty bad by way of significantly if not severely nerfing your concentration.

@nachtness,
As far as we saw the curses, it is some kind of mental block. If he believe that his action would kill the opponent, then the curse will prevent you from that action. So you can't just fly him off into stratosphere and just "release the grip".
You still probably can kill by accident.

Edit: just read the comment about the real form of that "curse". Welp, you can just forget everything i said then... Nevertheless, in that case "gravity killed him" wouldn't be a valid excuse either way.
