@ngungbi , I'm just some rando with an opinion, take it for what it's worth.

I think "Shrine Maiden" emphasizes that the kind of priestess is culturally Japanese or otherwise Asian ("priestess" feels like it'd be used more in monotheism with churches and the like), but either is fine.

As for Captain/Leader; use "Captain" when someone is directly addressing the person in question. When someone is describing that person, captain and leader can be used interchangeably (e.g. "He is our captain" or "The captain is the leader of our group").

If anyone disagrees I'd love to know why.

I like this idea for a story, and the character designs looks nice too. Can't wait to read more.

from what i saw in the raw, it seems the kanji here is written as child of god instead of shrine maiden

Wtf who even asked you to rearrange Japanese names? People want the opposite. This tourist pandemic on manga/anime is really getting out of hand.

Would you know any word or phrase in english to convey this that doesn't sound a little awkward? "Child of god", "Gods child", "Gods beloved", ...it doesn't really feel nice, it's more like a title, not something that flows well in conversation. "Apostle" also doesn't seem to properly cover the topic from my limited understanding.

"Priestess" might just be good enough?

I've seen it translated as "Blessed Child" in Mushoku Tensei
