A mistake from the author(not the translators) is that the ant queen is the only fertile female in the colony. All the workers and soldiers are also female, but they can't make eggs. Male and princess ants are both the only to have wings too though.

I mean I would be too weak to say no to the princess when she makes an offer like that, but it's a shitty move using your royal standing to just basically try to kidnap someone companion
