You know I always hate concepts where instead of being able to learn skills there is a limit put on them for some reason. I get that you can be more talented in a field BUT whenever a story heavily restricts the inability to learn something I hate that. E.g. When characters goes to a church or something and they get a profession. THATS not how professions are supposed to work. You learn skills, practice what you think you know best and then based on that you make it into a profession. I hate it when characters train their whole lives to master the sword but then they find out their profession is like a farmer. That's just stupid in my opinion.

I'm thinking the more monster friends he takes care of, the more spells he can learn. Because 2 chickens = 2 spells? Just a guess.
