My thoughts exactly.
I wouldn't have questioned it they were something like super-elite guards, but they were having troubles with the standard orcs even before the orc king came up.
It's already a bit dubious when it happens to standard nobles or princesses, but here he's the king himself. Is his country so weak that he can't afford better guards?
