@Kaarme i mean, the equivalent in galge would be a character that you put through NTR, and when he fights back to get you to stop, but in successfully cucking him you end up stripping him of everything in his life. The very presence of a villain or villainess turns you, the "hero/heroine" into Mr Steal Yo Gurl....guy whatever.

Yeah some titles might exist but I believe that's catering to a very, very specific group (netori fetishists cough).

And frankly, I think the other reason why villain/villainess characters are rare outside of those specific genres or predominant in manga vs games, is that the central conflict in dating games for both men and women, are the capture target themselves. There's no need for a conflict when capturing the targets is the conflict.

@SunSun I haven't read too many VNs that would have an actually competing character. If the other character has significant presence, it's usually like Sunohara in Clannad. Of course something like Swan Song might have more... But I just want to forget those psychotic stories. So, usually there's zero NTR, at least in all the VNs I've seen. But of course I've made an effort to choose the ones I try (like any sane person would). Similarly a villainess in an otome game wouldn't by far lead automatically to any NTR elements. Just having a rival wouldn't mean NTR. I just threw the word villainess there because so far there have been nothing but guys, more guys, and then some more guys for good measure in this story. There're like zero girls the poor MC dude could approach to get his mind off from all those gays.

@Kaarme well even Sunohara was more a sidekick or comedic relief in Clannad, point being that a villain or villainess in galge/otomge is rare to extremely unlikely, and i think someone else mentioned before villainess' tend to be more in shoujo manga anyway.

And yeah, poor dude is about to go nuts with all these male capture going gay for him, but that's the best part of the ride
