I can understand the racism but why does he keep saying Ed's life is easy? They both live in the same hobo shacks. Ed was even abandoned by his family.
Crabs in a bucket, this is pretty typical. Hate to see others succeed

Racism would be him being against Ed's ethnicity and/or race, he is bigot but not a racist, he is also like 6. Taking a 6 seriously is dumb. Ed is discriminated due to his black hair which is a Japanese trope of making black hair unique in fantasy settings, but they never discriminated based on ethnicity.

Using racist like you did is incorrect, the better terms that fit would be prejudiced or bigoted, or simply a bigot. Racism is about a person's ethnicity and/or race after all.
