He's an enemy, obviously, this Baron Ball.

But I quite like his attitude towards skulduggery; "What's bravery got to do with it?" indeed.

When doing nefarious deeds, proper preparation should forstal any need for bravery. If bravery is required, you are out of your league, and taking quite unnecessary risks.

I still suspect that things will go poorly for him; none of them seem to understand the relationship between Our Hero and his various associates.

If you so much as threaten one of them, he will destroy you.

Thus, your first target should be him. Of course, if you do that successfully, he won't produce any additional advances. So... it really does depend upon your long term goals.

Plus, if you take him out, his mother will then target you, presuming she succeeds in tracing things back to you.

Plot hole: Giant heated baths in a previous chapter but apparently basic plumbing isn't a thing they have yet.

Artists have a certain style that indicates their preconceptions about classes or other factors, as I have learned somewhat recently, which is why every royal in potion loli looks the same, and here the artist seems to have a default for noble warriors, meaning their shape and size of their heads and faces are the same, with exceptions for preconceived characters, Balud and Will look quite similar in black and white, of course they might look different fully shaded, but saying "I don't think she's your type" is hilarious since Balud looks so much like will. Not sure if this is the same as saying all Asians look alike because this is japanese art, but it's also japanese art of European modeled characters. It's why later his sisters look quite similar to each other and him but not the king (because king is designed to look and act Rather uniquely) and even trap prince has a similar face size and shade. Different hair and bone structure tho

Tldr : me ranting to say Balud looks too much like will in my eyes to hit him with "youre not her type"

@PianoConspiracy they almost definitely just use buckets of water and fire magic. Also if not they are exceptionally rich and powerful and live right next to a massive source of water so if they don't manually pour buckets and heat it with magic or fire, then they probably have a dam or something of the sort that pours water into the bath from a lake then flushes it out, don't need basic plumbing just a wall and a trench

Edit : also reverse trap girl legit says she is going to draw all the water for a bath, she doesnt live in the capital so she doesn't have a massive bath or servants so she will manually fetch all the water needed, this means that most likely the top 10 noble family has enough maids to draw water for a big bath, don't underestimate wealth and luxury.

Baths are viewed as luxurious because you spend a long time getting single buckets of water and carrying them back to your house filling up the tub and going back to the well, then you need to have a fire if you want it hot so you waste wood or coal, then you dirty the water so it isn't useful for multiple people, and wells can dry up so you can't bathe all the time even if you had all the time and energy to spare. Nobles don't need to care about this since they can have dozens of maids and so on. A bath can be just as simple as a big pot with water and a fire underneath, but the rich have always had baths

I recall mentioning back when I was reading this at an unmentionable aggregator that shadoof is an ancient invention, existing all over the world (probably independently) because it's so simple and people weren't idiots. It should also be in wide use in the world of this manga. If it's not, it's because the Japanese authors like to make isekai MCs look wiser by making the locals look stupider.
