But I quite like his attitude towards skulduggery; "What's bravery got to do with it?" indeed.
When doing nefarious deeds, proper preparation should forstal any need for bravery. If bravery is required, you are out of your league, and taking quite unnecessary risks.
I still suspect that things will go poorly for him; none of them seem to understand the relationship between Our Hero and his various associates.
If you so much as threaten one of them, he will destroy you.
Thus, your first target should be him. Of course, if you do that successfully, he won't produce any additional advances. So... it really does depend upon your long term goals.
Plus, if you take him out, his mother will then target you, presuming she succeeds in tracing things back to you.
