I think I said it in the other thread but Chris still should have that necklace he made for them to “be aware” of each others presence even if they Couldn’t stay in touch telekinetically

If I remember correctly the gem allows him to check on them and get a feel of their location. They can't do the opposite and are unaware of this feature. I remember a bunch of comments how stalkerish the gem was when he gave it to them as well. So yeah there is no way for them to know he is alive once they get the news unless he sends a letter or goes to meet them.

You remember incorrectly. Chapter 43 page 8 is where he explains to the girls directly what the gems do & how it works so that they can track him too.

However, nothing in that explanation said that it could do anything other than point the user of one gem to the other gem's location, so it wouldn't let them know if he was ok or even if the gem was being held at all and not just laying in the dirt somewhere after the MC's "death". Also, it can only be used 5 times and they are very distant from each other, so deciding to burn one of its limited uses would be a big decision to make.
