Realistically speaking she's a lot more functional than she probably should be, taking into account her skills I imagine she was under mind control for years, she was literally seeing as nothing but a tool, so why would they leave her without the mask unless necessary after all? So it's kinda of a surprise she has any personality, hell, if not for the fact that speaking is convenient, I imagine they wouldn't even bother teaching her how to speak.I feel bad for this kid having been so deprived, but her reactions are freakin' adorable.
"This world's formality sucks but I need to go through it to help her. I'll just begrudgingly do it and never bring it up again."I'll be honest, it feels kind of weird reading this manga now especially since the slavery chapter. It's like, there's not even any reason for the slavery chapter? It's not affecting the story or anything, and it hasn't been brought up again. It feels now like it's just the author wanting a reason to defend slavery, and now that's just stuck at the back of my mind.
That would make a type of sence, but it makes me wonder why it wasn't just 'I'll adopt her' if it never comes up again."This world's formality sucks but I need to go through it to help her. I'll just begrudgingly do it and never bring it up again."
Perhaps something like that in Sora's mind.
I am not defending the author's decision, but it did just happen, it may be a setup for a future event. That would make a type of sence, but it makes me wonder why it wasn't just 'I'll adopt her' if it never comes up again.
