I'm surprised he didn't give him the strawberries. If he washed and cut them just to make sure no insects were in it they'd be safe if he fed them to him. It's already established fact that things get cinically steralized just by being in his presence.

I understand not wanting ANYONE ELSE to feed them to him but it would have probably been a boon to his psyche at the time.

Thanks for continuing this series.

Did Falma forget he can fly using his Medicine God Staff? I know he's trying to be discreet but I'm sure he could fly back in case of an emergency.
They don't have phones, so letting him know would take more time than flying back.

Cancer is really evil. I would not even wish this on my enemies. Also why did they have to make it look like Blanche did something horrible with the scissors.

glad to see this return with another chapter, much appreciated.

while this is one impressive arc on many levels, i hope Falma will not turn a doctor like this for many more arcs. i enjoy the day to day actions alot more, but i guess there would be no thrill in that to keep the series running.

Get you a family that loves you enough, to give you a wig made of their own hair(hope I remembered this correctly) like blanche

lol trying to make cutting her hair look like she stabbed herself with scissors cmon man
Given the time period, it could be considered as such. Women never cut their hair short unless absolutely necessary, e.g., Fantine in Les Miserables or Jo March in Little Women cutting their hair to sell or Mary Ingalls in the Little House series getting her hair shorn because they thought her meningitis was scarlet fever, and the fever could escape through her scalp. Long hair has always a sign of femininity and Blanche, who has been brought up that she needs to become a proper lady to get married, is sacrificing one of the things that makes her a "lady."

My personal experience is that you have to go out and find family when you're in that kind of situation. It's hard, but not impossible.
"The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb" and all that.
