almost everything is excellent. The many dress designs make for great reference material for my writing. There's a nice balance between the politics, fantasy elements, and economics. I'm hopeful that she becomes a powerful mage and perhaps even goes to war for some time. That would be extremely compelling. I'm not the biggest fan of Isidore. Their relationship feels too much like infatuation, but it is still in the early stages so hopefully there are events that change that. With him hiding his identity they don't feel like true partners. If she learned of it, that would change things.

Chaperone is a bad thing. Why would anyone be glad to get one? She's basically a spy supervising the actions of a younger woman, making sure the younger woman won't do anything that would displease her parents. Naturally the chaperone reports back everything she has seen.
