This manga is so weird. Like, why not just make them both adults? They're detectives after all

Why is it that whenever a girl finds one of those distinguished pieces of literature and see a random page, they immediately assume that's the exact type the MC prefers? Sure, sometimes there's a generic theme to the high art, but often it's just a random page that may have any style. And they usually point out some specific trait they lack as if that specific trait is the most important one.

Also, they have similar enough sizes of shirts that they'd mistake them? Somehow that seems odd.

These “books” usually are made with a specific type. It could be a specific model or woman, it could also be about specific traits, kinks or fetishes, etc. I’m not gonna bother translating but it is a collection as we can see.

Maybe we just don’t know much about their adult books culture so we thought it’s an exaggerated trope.

You respond to a two year old post, and you try to bring up an argument I explicitly included. Come on.
I don’t see the issue. That’s how the internet is. As a matter of fact, since you claim it is an “argument,” that you included, then it is redundant or contradicting. Thus, you answered your own question but left it open again. There was no argument here, just “a matter of fact.”

I mean seriously, if you see someone drop a book about big boobs and it flips to a random page. No matter the different models or style, it’s still about big boobs.

I do get that your initial observation is a rhetorical thought, but my response was a more literal or understanding approach for this trope.
