Of the housemates, Yukari might be his best match personality wise but Hiromi wants kids. I don’t think Yukari is young enough for that, nor does she seem to have that same goal. I also don’t think Hiromi could handle his jealousy when it comes to Yukari’s job, which she seems to love.

Yukari is only 31, she's fine. The risks don't really start increasing until mid 30s and even then it's gradual at first. But yes, you are correct, Hiromi as he is now would not settle down with Yukari. According to his dream of a family, she's very suspiciously the only initial girl profession-wise who doesn't jive with that. My theory is he'll break, though, his relationship with Nonoka will end at some point and the Hiromi that comes out the other side of that won't be the person he is now. I still think we're in for some messiness with the other girls, but not Yukari. She's what awaits him after he's become who he's supposed to be.

I'm honestly curious if Nonoka was intended to serve some greater purpose in the narrative—like, fully pushing Hiromi to stop looking backward in his life. She was a crush of his from childhood, and now with her betraying him fully like this and leaving him right when he was poised to take a pretty big step with her, I could see this making it all but impossible for him to return home now, effectively cutting off his past and everyone in it. Too many painful memories wrapped up in his hometown now when everything around will remind him of Nonoka.

Will be interesting to see what happens next. Though I'm happy for Nonoka; I'm sure her family will welcome this news with open arms and celebrate her taking such giant steps backwards in her life, especially with a partner already prone to cheating on her and leaving her.

But it's Sasuga Kei, so every character will reap what they sow.

I...love this. Like every girl so far hasn't been good for him. He's also growing with each heartbreak. This was 100% gonna happen with Nonoka. We all knew where this was going. Yukari would be nice, but I'll take anyone but Lili and Nonoka. Lili is sweet but I wouldn't give her another chance.

I am also curious what effects this will have on hiromi, will he start trusting people even less? Sasuga kei stories are always a wild ride and I am enjoying this manga quite a bit lol

Anju doing that was certainly serving her own interests but it's still valuable for others to point out things we don't notice about ourselves because of our own blind spots.

The whole series could be titled Relationships: The Manga. It would seem as if Sasuga Kei is using it to explore and discuss the many ways people enter a relationship with each other, and also how those relationships break down. Different characters provide not only cautionary examples, but also mouthpieces for the moral of each arc.

Which makes me think that, sooner or later, someone (perhaps a male rival?) will point out Hiromi's faults to him. The guy has been pinning for an idealized marriage for a long time, and it could be argued that this has been the underlying factor behind his previous failed relationships. This chapter even lampshades it: while the comments of Lily's friends are also biased, that Hiromi is already moving with his new girlfriend just months after breaking up with Lily may feel a tad too fast. As if he was in a hurry to get his perfect home life.

I think you missed the joke in the comment and the specific reference to page 4: the "don't you dare" was about Nonoka getting furious at her ex and immediately jumping into a car and driving off in a rage. If you put that together with the knowledge of Domekano's final arc you can see how someone might immediately suspect that the next page is going to be her getting into a car crash and dying or falling into a coma.

I think anyone who didn't see Hiromi and Nonoka's relationship breakup coming simply isn't paying attention to the broader plot or the format of the series. The sharehouse is the central dynamic and the women are just as important to the plot as Hiromi is. Nothing is going to happen that removes him from the sharehouse and from interacting with the other residents until the end of the series, if then; it would undermine the whole purpose.
