Going down the rabbit hole of motivations, you can probably make most seem "trivial". And a dream is a dream is a dream, no matter how trivial.

Gee, I sure wonder who that person is. Forgot if that's the first time we've seen that in this manga or if I'm mixing it up with all of the others with the exact same cliché.

The way she's describing the manga is like how a character would describe food in a random foodie moment in a manga.

Mostly just being taller probably helped a lot.

Is she going to complain about something he did way back when he was a kid? And it probably was about herself, too. And and it's probably going to turn out to be for a reason he couldn't help anyway.
