While reading this, all I could think was: "man, I am bummed we never got a second season of Hyouka". I know that there is a light novel and a manga, but I would never read a light novel and the manga has 30 chapters missing here.

Anyways, unless they put a good focus on the detective and mystery solving part, I don't see much future.

Thanks for the chapter, Aphrodite Scans.

I loved Dorobou-chan, so I gave this a shot. I'm sticking with it, but it's not promising--mainly because of the mangaka choosing to go by that odious JP manga/LN playbook; one of its rules mandates the kind of pathetic JP male MC everyone's familiar with. Tasuku is seemingly that guy:

・He is shaping up to be a tsukkomi machine, never missing a chance to inform quirky pretty girls of just how dumb he thinks they are
・Despite how easily Tasuku looks down his nose at such girls, all it takes is a few inches into his personal space and any one of those girls will be "too close~ >.<"
・He wants to rid himself of undesirable traits, but doesn't seem inclined to do more than talk about that desire

That said, this is just the first chapter. Dorobou-chan set the bar pretty high, but it is the same author--maybe he's got some more bottled lightning in store.

Also...I spoke of "pretty girls". Unlike Dorobou-chan, in which the author made his sole female lead properly blow out the rest of the female cast in terms of looks (with one exception: her mother, who at least matches her), only two of those girls are actually pretty. Big tits make the world go 'round, but they can't fix everything--the diminished femininity inherent in a short haircut is one of those things they don't make up for.

Think about it: why do women tell their pretty peers with long, beautiful hair to cut it? Then, why are the results called "bold" and "daring" if the style is such a great, foolproof choice?

Here's to lightning striking twice in the same place.

Ahhh why do I read the harem genre all the time. They're all nice girls and they all deserve get the boyfriend they desire but two are going to have a tearful rejection without fail. Is the journey truly worth it if all I can see is heartbreak at the end
I mean true but like cmon, sloppy harem manga is kinda good sometimes. But on a real note author could pull a W and make those extra bonus chapters of each girl winning, there was one harem manga that had it cause the base ending was kinda mid, not bad like others but not peak

You’re clearly doing something wrong if you decided to read the chapter even after seeing 3 girls on cover, reading description and seeing Harem tag on mangadex.

On page 23, that girl's legs look weird as hell
Yeah, seems like a poor foreshortening approach (that is to say, none / inverse to what it should be) on the mangaka's part. Instead of making the lower legs look larger since they're closer to the 'camera' they drew them smaller or equal to how they might look if standing upright--in effect creating an inverse perspective of sorts.

Our brains are very used to seeing people, and to judging distance via perspective cues, so when something like this goes against the expected rules for people and perspective it can tend to stand out like a sore thumb.
