I'm a little teapot, short and stout,
Here is my handle, here is my spout.
I ain't your teamaker, hear me shout,
"FUCK YOU ASSHOLES, GET THE FUCK OUT."
... Why do I feel like the only person who actually enjoys the tea is the first guy who asked Itai to make it for him?
I mean, he enjoys the tea she makes, likes it the way it's still hot when served and hates the cheapo carton tea...
@Mahoushani From what I've read, this is pretty accurate for Japan. You'll notice that the women are referred to as Office Ladies, not a job title like programmer/accountant/etc. Many of the men assume the OLs are there just to help them out, not to do any other job of their own. Japan is still, sadly, a very misogynistic country.
@manabi that's because Office Ladies ARE there just to "make tea"(perform simple, menial tasks and look good) It's a job that requires no qualificiations whatsoever.
Yeah but it also means that if youre a qualified woman who is not hired to be OL you will still be expected to make tea and coffee for the rest of the guys, just because youre a woman and they expect you to.
