@henman I really do despise the term "incel", particularly when it's used in a derogatory sense by ignorant insensitive people to slander socially maladjusted individuals, embittered by persistent loneliness, in a manner that only serves to further their descent into isolation as a consequence of our increasingly impersonal society, if you want to know where the incels come from you need only look at how our society responds to people looking in from the outside. And yes, women can be in that position.

@Loopy-Loon Let's calm down with the sob story and false equivalences. Though the term "incel" was coined by a woman it clearly has taken a distinct meaning from "forever alone". Those "incels" aren't innocent "socially maladjusted individual", wronged by our society, as you're trying to paint them as. Spend some time on their sites (/r9k/ for example), and you'll find yourself in a pit of a truly paradoxical mix of both despair and incredible self-entitlement. They plight isn't "woe is me I cannot get a girlfriend", but "woe is me I want a perfect girlfriend while being nothing great myself". All of their ramblings about women being "superficial", "vain", "obsessed with looks" are just the veneer under which they hide how much they resent them for daring to be as picky as they know themselves to be.

When those incels started entertaining notions of "state-enforced rape", among others, they lost all claim to pity, and can be all thrown in pit for all I care.
