@t28 I have nothing against her development, either. It just annoys me when I read stories about realistic experiences and the people in the comments seem to just want the satisfaction of yet another fetish. For example, if a manga is about friendship, then someone will constantly expect it to become gay, and if it's about sibling love, then someone will always expect a wincest at the end.
One way or another, as Maki-sensei said, any development should fit into the general logic of the work, and not change at the whim of the author or audience. I always think about that when I think about the Fast and the Furious from a relatively realistic police drama about racers turned into a grotesque carnival with cyborgs and flying tanks, lol.
@Lionhearte Well, this is originally a classic SoL, so you can hardly expect much from that. At least, if an author like Watamote's does not decide at some point to drastically change the genre.
