End?? Thank you for translating this to the end.

Now personal comment, honestly, as a man or as a husband, just divorce her.. :shamihuh:
She is willing to kick his husband away for her own gain, then goes back on her own words once the public knows about it and begin to question her quality as a person.

She clearly does not love him and just see him for her convenience. And this end chapter show her play victim/damsel in distress to get her way back in.
Real talk, no man can live under a terror, that tomorrow wife will leave me when she does not see anything for squeezing/see something else that interest her more.

Thanks for this series. It had interesting vibes.

I like the moral and everything, but it's kind of a shame that the resolution to the main conflict boiled down to "Oh, I guess getting divorced was never important to my career after all, tehepero!"

Unsatisfying ending but that's about what I was expecting. She apparently takes responsibility but there's little to no consequences for her: her apology is accepted, she gets back together with the husband like nothing happened and she has less job offers but is still in the same agency. So she gets to fulfill both her dreams without overcoming anything. She reflects on her actions, sure, but it's meaningless since the plot just opens the doors for her. And I kind of hate that the end result is "We should've just been open with each other!" I'm sorry but what was Akari supposed to do? His wife stops proper communication with him and when he resolves to talk to her face to face she straight up asks for divorce. Should he have thrown a tantrum? Feelings aren't rational and I get that but she was the one who closed all doors to proper communication in the first place. The office segments were really nice so I wish the author never included this pointless drama at all. Oh well.

If I have to give a word for this manga, it would be "Disaster". The wife's character felt so bland and don't argue about the MC to me, he is just that over the top pathetic loser archetype. He neither has a backbone, neither talk about his own feelings and his saying is that he should be more open about his feeling is pure ragebaite for me atp.

And don't even start about the Mananger, she is a bitch who thinks their employees are an asset to be sold. And the fact that she doesn't even face her own consequences is making my blood boil. The MC and his wife being "grateful" is the last nail in the coffin for me.

And the only characters I cared about were not the main characters, instead background characters (The coworkers of MC). Their characters were so good. If their was another manga focusing on them, I would read it in one breath.

And lastly the agency itself is shady. Why weren't they under fire??

It is a 5/10 for me. The desserts looks amazing (almost made me hungry in the middle of the night). Like I said, the bg characters were fun, feeling bad for them for existing in this story. And everything else is dogshit.

Thanks for wasting your time in this manga translators. I hope you have a great day.

You are ignoring the fact that both the manager and her husband were encouraging her and this was her long time dream that she was always working towards.

The reason everything had issues was cause she didn't actually want the divorce.

But she wanted the dream for so long, worked so hard towards it, finally had a chance and was even being supported by her husband that she couldn't help but go towards it.

She was literally forced to choose between her marriage or her dream. One that she worked hard towards.

That's not an easy choice.

The fact that she had to choose was just messed up.

She clearly does love him. It was just a hard choice.

No matter which choice she made, she would regret it and lose a part of herself.

Being able to throw everything you worked hard towards everything you dreamed of and wanted into the trash is not easy....

It's not that she doesn't love him, it was if she thought her dream or love was more important. And EVERYBODY was pushing her and telling her she should pick her dream.

NOBODY was supporting her marriage. Even her husband.....

I agree with this. That's why the message at the end was "We should've been honest".
The husband was too timid and wanted to be supportive so he didn't dare say that he didn't want to divorce.
The wife also felt like she didn't express more clearly/strongly that she didn't truly want to divorce and didn't try to talk it out properly with her husband or manager, instead just stringing along the process. She seems like she was already starting to be popular without finalising the divorce, so she could've maybe tried to ask the manager/agency to cancel it. And if she really had wanted to prioritise her career, she could've more clearly told the husband so, and she felt responsible for not picking a side.

Since it was set up as the manager's personal decision and not agency policy, getting that manager fired is enough. She was the one being so scummy to the point of forging handwriting and continuously pressuring for the divorce. Literally I see no reason to rush the divorce.

The resolution is ok for me. The author wanted a happy end, and it's a bit too convenient, but it's fine with me. It's not like it's a big scandal on the actress's part.
