One day during a blizzard, a young girl shelters at his house. When she leaves, they promise to meet again. When they do meet again, they get married. The major problem though is that the man’s broke. So his wife sets up a weaving station and tells him not to look inside, no matter what. A few days pass and she comes out with some very beautiful fabric. The man gets a lot of money for it and goes back to tell his wife that she needs to make more. She then tells her husband again, under no circumstances can he look inside the room. A week passes and she hasn’t left the room. Two weeks pass and she hasn’t left the room. He gets worried decides to disobey his wife’s order and opens the door. He discovers his wife is actually a beautiful crane and has been plucking her feathers for the fabric. After this discovery, the wife says that she has to leave. Despite the husband’s begging, the wife flies away.
