Why did you have to make them kiss? I know this manga was supposed to be drama from the tag, but you could have done it better than this like making the faceless jealous by something different, I'm here expecting more sweet moments like in some previous chapters....
You can call me a bitch, virgin lover, naive or something else just because I'm whining over something like this, but I'm reading because I want to enjoy it. You don't really have to make it similar with how real life work, because real life is stressful already

I think he did it because it fits in with the character type of fox yokai, they're fairly meanspirited pranksters. I wouldn't worry too much about it. The kiss didn't serve as any NTR-bait or anything like that -- she's not going to develop feelings for him. It was done so that faceless could show some more emotions. And yes it's kind of lazy writing, but very typical of manga - how relationships really can't progress unless there's some negative external force pushing on them.

If you want some pure sweetness go read Machida-kun.
