It's one time use, it also cannot be used by a winterwald, but only a descendant of the first emperor, the reason for that is a story unto itself, as for luca all i'll say about him being a winterwald is the duke is more or less playing a game with them to find out what they know.

Interesting but this just feels like it's proving why Luca's dad was such a piece of shit. Like yes the royal family is its own massive shit bag that is still doing crap that will have consequences for everyone involved for years to come because of "love", but the winterholds aren't much better. It gives the feeling of "I said I love you, isn't that enough" or "I loved them but never said it or showed it", like that was the whole reason Luca had so much trauma with his uncle. If you love someone say it and show it, don't think that saying it or feeling it is enough because that's just a one-sided relationship. It's just believing having a crush is the same as having a partner, samething for family and friends, show and say your love for others.
TLDR: shitty relationships will continue for generations unless there is an actual change
