i didn't really get that far into it but didn't it move past his 'dangerous thoughts' soon and they became friends/potential love interests without him being all edgy/chuuni about wanting to stab someone? seems like it'd turn into a normal rom com about a socially awkward otaku

I think she would be just "I didn't deserved him anyway".

I don't think that's more suffering then having her whole life in guilt over his death.
