I was initially skeptical of this series due to its use of the "sad girl yuri" aesthetic (aka copying MLEWL) but ended up being pleasantly surprised. The main story, especially the first half, is admittedly bogged down by traditional sad girl yuri tropes. However, the series went in a bolder direction than I anticipated by including a transgender female love interest which tends to be rare in yuri. It was an interesting enough shake-up of the formula for me to recommend the series. It's great to see yuri branch out more like that!
