But it is amazing how no one bats an eye when a male emperor would have many bed partners. They are even considered sexy. Isnt that sort of mysogynistic?

has many concubines, it is to produce a male heir because women (unlike men) have a gestation period of 9 months (give or take). While the emperor can have concubines to give birth to multiple potential heirs at the same time, an empress does not have the luxury of doing so since they can only gestate once every 9 months with the intention to give birth to an heir or heiress. That is why even today most sensible women can be picky about their partners, since there is a potential downside for them if their partner is not a suitable person.

Not to mention you weren't even reading the story, apparently. These men weren't even in her 'harem'
