Read the ending, it ruined my feelings on the manga. Very disappointing. I will say it was interesting up to that point. For those curious read below, but only if you’re not enjoying it.

MC and FMC split. They become estranged. FMC falls into a string of abusive relationships only to be beaten to death. MC never finds out about her death but still loves her working dead end job. There is no catharsis or closure or happy ending. there is also no discernible reason why they left each other. MC just became bored with her I suppose. This shit sucks.

What really ;-; Since it has 8 volume I'd hope there's at least a closure or maybe they become unhealthy with only each other but they broke up n FMC still repeats? Damn.
Where did you read the ending? Or did you buy the manga yourself? I'm curious and want to know more about the ending /gen

Be a warned this ain't for everybody. Cuz its pretty intense and Graphic. And most definitely "WTF" inducing.

I liked it not for the gore or kink (not big about either) but the art and characters were interesting.

Some will look deeper into characters, motives, and meanings. Others will nope right out.

Its not for me to tell you what you should or should not like.
Make up your own mind about it!😁

This was such a waste of a story. Impressive art, intriguing mesterious love interest with an insane and interesting motive but… wtf did I just read?! It’s like the author gave up and wanted to finish it as fast as possible. how did makoto get kidnapped? What was he normal before getting kidnapped? Who the fuck was the guy that kidnapped him and why did he choose makoto and why did his story arc just end abruptly. What was with that room? Souichii and his brother what the fuck happened to them? his brother was a crossdresser and that was just an abandoned plot point. Souichii liking mikoto because she resembled his brother was an abandoned plot point. Why did mikoto get turned on from being killed all of the sudden? We barely scratched the surface of her past. her Fake friend… what was her motive for wanting to be amused by mikoto? What about mikotos family Who seemed to care for her?

Completed it, for some reason. The entire thing feels absurd. The ending makes me make the exact face Mikoto makes in the last panel. None of the jokes are funny, because the circumstances are so depressing, and none of the characters are likeable even if I feel bad for them. Any theme or character arc it felt like the story was shooting for just kinda fizzles out in the end. If it was just a manga meant to make people make a disgusted face (or appeal to a niche fetish) mission accomplished.

This was an absolutely incredible read, if only deeply intense. The ending got me so I ended up asking my partner for comfort with out saying why. It basically the first time I've really liked a story without really wanting to recommend it to someone. It's just a crazy in-depth look at obsession, cycles of abuse and how relationships change our perception of affection for our life beyond. I have some thoughts on why I like the ending, but this story was a fantastic tragedy.

Seen some people upset about the ending, but I think they're missing the point of it. Makoto breaks up with Mikoto, not because he gets bored of her, but because he doesn't want to hurt her anymore. She's left an impression on him as deep as the one that he's left on her. Mikoto because of him craves some violence in a relationship, which is why she promises Makoto she'll "become a good girl" again. He can't hurt her like before, but she can't give up the violence to look elsewhere. They end up estranged in this way never re-uniting because of the changes they made towards eachother that drove them apart.
