Think about this logically. You’re a masochist if you enjoy someone’s disgusted face after your relationship dynamic breaking request. That’s fine, but in this manga, the protagonist is forgiven afterwards rather than keeping that broken. Wouldn’t that forgiving part be not appreciated for the person that wants to see disgust? Also this manga could make a good romance harem rather than comedy, I like to think the disgust is emphasized for the theme but it’s technically just another visual gag (that just happens to span a page rather than a panel).

They're kind of the same, but at the same time still a completely different experience
