How many experience points did he get for taking down Hans and the guildmaster?
Takumi is lucky he got Trucked into a world with JRPG characteristics. If this were a first edition AD&D world he wouldn't have skyrocketed scores of levels at once. He certainly wouldn't have gotten visual notifications that his level went up. Instead, he would have to go through another dozen or two fights just like this just to hit second level. Plus, he would have had to seek out a much higher level alchemist to train him for his new level, and probably gone into debt to pay for this training. Also, he'd have to do all of this while guessing when or if he actually had enough exp to ding, since in a Watsonian sense nobody is ever going to get to see their own character sheet.
