Very mixed feelings about this story. I'm very interested in how this makes it to 8+ volumes, but I really resent how little agency the supposed "MC" (which is Yuuma and not Ameri, unfortunately) expresses and how this story just seems to be a bunch of stuff happening to him. It doesn't even seem like he has something against killing. He really seems to just worry about the consequences, like he's never considered just not getting caught. I'm similarly annoyed that Yokota isn't more down for murder. I'll keep reading, but while ignoring anyone who isn't Ameri.

His unwillingness comes from not just the fear of getting caught but also the guilt of taking someone’s life. It’s a decision between an internal prison of guilt (if he gets of Scott free) or being in danger for as long as his bully alive. You ever heard of the guilt victims of self defense cases harbor? It f with them even when they were in the right. This isn’t to say that this manga does a great job at portraying psychological trauma at all. It’s just above average slob.
