KingRagnarok: Him saving the day was pure luck. The probability of him specifically getting there and interfering was actually lower than a random fractured human from the ones that just turned interfering. Basically him saving the day wasn't a result of a conscious decision.
On the other hand he could have anticipated the consequences from trying to rape a fractured human in the case something goes wrong. In contrast that was a fully conscious decision. Everybody makes decisions, he just made a wrong one.
