You fool, that's no deterrent! For some guys, the best girl is basically a guy! I think some dudes don't realize how blinded by lust they are, how little they actually like women as persons.
Why incels are frustrating, getting their panties in bunch about having no chance with women they don't know at it all and probably wouldn't like/found boring/wouldn't be a good match if they did know them.
Too many men prioritize standard beauty standards to look for a romantic partner, instead of going for women they'd actually vibe with. Nothing more puzzling to see the most random dude think he's entitled to date a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model and disregard perfectly cute women as 'mid' or 'ugly' just because they look like actual human beings and not filtered Insta dolls.
Anyway, I'm sure that dude didn't like Airi. He didn't know her at all if he didn't even notice she had been replaced by someone else (or how they all completely glossed over as no big deal finding her outside completely naked with no memory??).
And for that matter, 'Airi' is also falling for a too common female pitfall, just going with the flow as long as you're supplied with (male) validation to soothe your ego. 'She' doesn't like the dude, 'she' likes being liked. There's a lot of dudes like that too (and they're usually serial cheaters to boot), but there's an army of women like this way, that are literally incapable of being single for two seconds.
I have a friend like that, and since I've known her since we were 14, she's like never been single more than two weeks max. For her defense, most relationships lasted minimum a year, but it makes it even more terrifying and depressing how interchangeable serious relationships are from her POV.
TLDR: You need to be very comfortable with yourself, loving yourself and your life when you're single before looking to meet someone, or else it's unlikely to be genuine and healthy.
Anyway, I think he's gonna eat the dude or the friend by accident and will lose his shit when stuck in a life he doesn't idolize
