Still can't help thinking Ash existence is a retcon, pretty sure Mido spent months stalking Jesus and no mention of her personal life outside work. Child neglect？
Well, it's kind of a retcon in the sense that the author definitely didn't have Ash in mind when he wrote the original manga, but if you think about it, why not? Jesus is far from being Mido's first mission, so it's not hard to believe that she was doing this mission from the last chapter some time before she went hunting for Jesus and picked up Ash there, and then took care of her outside of screen. After all, all the events of the previous manga, except for flashbacks, last less than one school year. We were shown little of what she does in her free time. Although of course Mido in the previous manga looked too cold before meeting Jesus to take care of Ash...
