So now we see the second Ace from House Discia.

This manga is like a speed run of the LN
It cuts out a lot of things that aren't essential to the plot, but that means that a lot of context and worldbuilding has gotten cut out, too.

I haven't re-read LN Vol 8 and 9, but I think there was supposed to be a chapter or two from the perspective of one of Sansui's disciples, one of the guards inducted into House Sepaeda employ. It really showed off their growth, and the kind of civilization-crushing distortions that the Divine Treasures were worried about if Suiboku's teachings were to spread.

Also the exhibition match in House Batreble territory between Sansui and Saiga seems to have been skipped, where Saiga showed some growth on understanding the responsibilities of his position as Head of House. That House Batreble maintains a very stable society in their lands, but that stability means no way for someone to rise up in social status, or even to change their careers, and that in order to fulfill his duties and maintain peace, Saiga needed to come out and say that he would NOT change the system.
Or the internal thinking from Hetter, Brauer's brother, when he realized that the reason his father always looked down on him was because his ambition was doing nothing but putting his family in danger. House Sepaeda doesn't need a talented administrator, in this time of peace; they want a competent administrator who can provide consistent and stable results. That's what his father provided, and Brauer's implied sacrifice (because as a bodyguard she was expected to sacrifice her life for Dewey's safety at any time) meant that House Sepaeda provided financial and social backing to their family. Trying to show that he could do better, by bringing in risk, is something that isn't needed or wanted by the House backing him.

It would be one thing if House Sepaeda said it wanted to grow, and he brought proposals to them that could bring that about. But it's another thing if he were to try to create growth on his own, fail, and cause losses for House Sepaeda.

How, HOW is there some SO STUPID to attack this place?? Almost all of the strongest people in history are all here, with their families. That’s BEYOND stupid. But it shall be entertaining…
Probably because these are not people from within the kingdom, who have seen the actions of these Reincarnators in action.
Or, they're a group that has a Reincarnator of their own.
I mean, when you first just listen to what the Arcana Kingdom says they have, it sounds like utter bullshit unless you see it for yourself.

What's girly getting so angry/pouty for on page 8? The fuck she means "now I want you to look at me"? And what's she blaming Rain for? I can't seem to make sense of that given the context.

The context seems obvious to me. The bride doesn’t like that her soon to be husband is talking about his other weddings at their wedding, she wants him for herself for their wedding day. It was Rain’s fault because she’s the one that primed the conversation by even asking how his other weddings went.

See, I didn't realize that it was about him and other wives. I barely recall any names. Also doesn't help that they all kinda look samey.

its not just that though, because of how they shifted the order of events. things don't logically play out.

the 4th rematch between saiga and Sansui was held in the exhibition match in that other country. which become a plot hole. instead of demonstrating skill and crushing the ambition of the princesses team. they shamed themselves publicly by running from a fight. while the kingdom just performed a threat, a show of force.

not to mention being easily forgiven from planning a coup d'état, and the neighboring princesses a hostile take over.

they also stripped the relationship of the brother and sansui. he always take his time to speak his mind with sansui. but they cut all that out. and he is just the wacky siscon brother now.

they also glossed through the wedding. and made another plot hole. the fiancés don't exactly get along. yet for no reason they made it a double wedding.

the LN scenario is that its a triple wedding. including the President and princess. to lure out other kingdoms and show of their national power, and threaten them a bit because they have been bothering suiboku. and if he where to retaliate that country would literally disappear.

during the wedding a mid size kingdom`s prince berated the groom tuon, in the earshot of both sansui and dew`s brother. in rage he took it as a declaration of war, punch the prince in his face till his own hand`s bone stick out. and give sansui his gloves and order him to throw it in the kings face. to accept his son`s declaration of war.
and sansui literally made a road of blood. for every soldier and knight that tries to stop him by force dies.

Yeah, I agree that some of the cuts have resulted in problems with the story. I miss a lot of the talk from the LN about duty, responsibilities, and what's important for social stability versus self-aggrandizement.

The manga cuts out a lot of that, inevitably because it was mostly internal monologues and reflections, so I understand why the manga chose to leave some of them out, but I think it leaves a lot of manga readers unable to appreciate why Sansui follows the orders of mere mortals, and the balancing act he and the people he serves have to do between people trusting Sansui to do what is asked and the consequences of him fulfilling that request. That in order to live in a society and have a place in that society for his daughters and wife, Sansui needs to show that he's willing to play by society's rules and can be trusted to not abuse his strength, while at the same time those members of society that Sansui has entrusted with his service realize that they have a self-aware nuke serving them, but there are other self-aware nukes (Reincarnators) out there that they might accidentally set off if they lob Sansui around indiscriminately, and that Sansui CHOOSES to serve them and his trust should not be abused, lest his power be turned against them.

It's difficult to get from the manga because it skips over so much, but it's far more explicit in the LN.

The manga also skipped over Suiboku's own laments of how many kingdoms he's destroyed, people he's killed, entire regions he's effectively genocided, when he was younger because he wanted to be strong and didn't take into consideration the effects that his actions would have on other people. Or mob character things like how stressful it is to work in the government of New Domino under Ukyou, who never misses a chance to shift blame for failures onto others (he says he's working hard for the people's sake, but so is everyone else, and unlike him, they are constantly under threat of being purged if they make a mistake).

Brauer and Sansui had child before marriage, how outrageous! :lewd:
Right? I was rather surprised at how blase people in this sort of world are about having a child out of wedlock, especially given Brauer's status as minor nobility. But then again, they're also cool with nobility marrying for love and elevating foreign bodyguards to positions of higher social status, so maybe the Arcana Kingdom is just that progressive a place.
