It's incredible that the dragon guy was talking as if he learned from history and that the arrogance of the dragons of the past was bad, but then he immediately makes the exact same mistake. The cognitive dissonance in that room is over 9000
Doubt it was really "HIM" and his race "self-reflecting" and more a "sob story" for the Fat Pig to eat up (as he was hesitent to work with "enemies of his race" where in the "story" he told makes it look like the Dragons "self-Reflected" and are willing to "work with humans, ONLY IF the Divine Treasures and their users which pretty much means, the Arcada Kingdom AKA Fatass's Enemy are eliminated" like it's not SUS that he might be lying)
I'd throw what you saw at FAT ASS since it's PAINFULLY OBVIOUS the Dragon is telling a "half truth" which is "they learned their lesson" but unlike what he thinks, the REAL lesson is "If we just ENSLAVE the Humans and keep them from fleeing, the Gods who love them will have no choice but to stay in the world we are going to take over and rule as overlords!" The fool doesn't get that this is only because the Dragons have no confidence taking on the Treasures (My guess is the VETERANS who fought the Treasures back then were the ones who perished on the Journey to the new Human World, so that means no one who knows how to ACTUALLY fight the weapons and WIN like in the past! So better to get "lackies" but as to avoid OTHER problems till they can take over as they seem to be FEW, they'll just use the enemies of the Divine Weapons and their Wielders to pad out the numbers!)
You know this is reminding me of a version of Fire Emblem Binding Blade's Backstory (The Fire Emblem the Red Haired Roy from Smash is from) found it funny that it was the HUMANS forced to flee to another world (In Binding Blade/ & It's Prequel Blazing Sword it was said the Dragons FLED instead) with a few changes as to not copy it 100% (Also it was the HUMANS who struck first against the Dragons where here it was the Dragons who started it!)
