@Doomer Uh, he's sticking around because he needs to ensure that Rain's upbringing stays safe until she comes of age. That was his mission, anyway. He can't fuck off now just because it looks like she'll be safe.

Also, I see a lot of people complain about him being her "slave" but it doesn't really seem that way to me. He isn't really bothered by anything she has him do, and in return, she treats Rain very well. He could at any time take Rain and go off and nobody would be able to stop him, but he doesn't because he has no need to as his current situation is pretty good for him.

Thank you so much, so many people here just wants an MC who is an "alpha male" and does what he wants.
