One of my favorite chapters in the manga so far. I love how Kurea is able to present herself as this benevolent figure, even to people who know full well what she's capable of. Her coat in this chapter is such a striking design for her... It's not a revolutionary bit of analysis of anything but I love how her repeated "our hometown!" line acts as both something kind to say and asserts her control. It makes her sound like your good friend Kurea who you can always count on, while really meaning that you have to say here in this town living this kind of life. We get a glimpse of what this really means to her when she's smiling with sparkles in her eyes as she records ⬤-chan beating the shit out of a random girl while thinking "I love my hometown!" entirely to herself. She loves the senseless violence this place enables and how she's able to position herself as the one in charge of it.

All of this and she has a 100% genuine love for cats. What a character.
