I like how they author is doing this series, instead of revenge or a guy down on his luck and finding all his problems solved by this dungeon his family guards where in most other series would be at the center of a city and a major source of wealth and resources. The family just guarded it and probably just used the items to save on help with their real passion and cover a inn and hotel.
No big plans just i can get some special eggs for the cake I like and probably give some to my best friend/neighbor.
And the characters are just so maxed in combat that their only problem is learning the day to day they are just like two teens giving max charater and set in a starter area after beating the game bored and just exploring what else they could do after doing the main story and just finding busy work to do.
I hope this series stays like this and one of the few problems they have would be teaching the girl how to leave up her cooking(its like the near sighted leading the blind, not much better but better than nothing) or getting a not from someone about getting back to work as an adventurer.

As long as it stays 2 idiots getting into dungeon shenanigans I’m down if it turns into 1 idiot and 6 bimbos doing dungeon shenanigans then I’m out tho
Since when has this fear of a "man's dream" started to become so commonplace? Did new generations become really this gay? Or it has to do with how women got into this genre too?

It's honestly weird how I keep seeing this bitxing about harems everywhere since some time ago.

Ofc only the 1 man X many women type of harem, strangely the reverse harems or the polyamory ones where everyone does everyone are booming and it seems their stories are always peak.

Yeah unfortunately the anime and manga community is filled with the alphabet people these days which has really taken this whole thing for a nosedive. People love trash yuri and shounen ai sht these days while if you see a normal harem story then they cant calm their tits, this is the reason I have personally moved on to manhwa, manhua and Chinese Donghua cuz they have yet to be inflitrated to this degree by this sickness

I'd rather there be one romance that's done kind of well, rather than 20 'romances' that are all trash and everyone is a sexless boring archetype and it never goes anywhere because God forbid the spineless protagonist actually make a choice before we're 300 chapters in.

If the guy had an ACTUAL harem where he banged all the girls regularly, then fine, that's acceptable, whatever. But it never ends up like that, it's always like "he's only going to end up with one of them, you just have to waste your time reading about him interacting with the loser girls because OF COURSE he's going to pick the tsundere bitch who's constantly mean to him", or it'll end without there being a real choice made

Not another needless isekai.

I swear they throw it in to check a box nothing about this set up requires or is benefitted by it being an isekai.
This is not an isekai by definition

It's not really commonplace, but as it always is with rainbow people, they feel the need to announce their presence & leave very important opinion under every single manga they hate, while normal people usually don't even touch their type of stories, much less leaving a comment.

It's like slasher films and ghost stories. Harems have been done SO often that people are just straight up tired of them. It's no longer wish fulfillment because people can pick just about any harem series they want and stick with that. Or y'know, just use the internet to look up actual harem hentai and other smut.

Harems have been done to death, or more specifically the "typical" way of doing them. Basic, generic personality types and body shapes (tsundere with a flat chest/modest figure, shy busty girl, athletic tomboy, cheeky mischief-maker, etc etc) with predictable one-note plot developments. Not to mention that most of the time the "winner" is obvious from the outset.

Which in itself is also a part of the problem: "harem" anime/manga almost never end with an actual harem. 90% of the time it's narrowed down to one girl at the end, with the other girls suffering various levels of heartbreak as a result. So if you're not a fan of the winner or liked another girl more? You just wasted your time and investment.

I can't talk about reverse harems, but actual harem manga are getting more popular because it means "everyone wins." The girls all get to be with the man they love, the fans of those characters get to see them happy, and harem fans get to see the ACTUAL fantasy of having multiple women loving the MC without all the competitive fuss of typical harem manga. The fact it bucks the "one man, one woman" expectation of modern society is just a footnote.

TLDR: Harems are overdone and now most people only enjoy them if they actually have something unique to offer.
