So I’m guessing the princess was given an ultimatum By her ministers. Either hand him over to the shit country in exchange for them killing the poison dragon (or Maybe as an act of compensating them for the poison spreading to them) or have Net kill the dragon, so there’s nothing to compensate them for

also princess can definitely turn into a dragon

The idiot king from last time is definitely forcing her hand to make her do this, calling in debts was it?

Thanks for the translation!

Yea, I thought the poison dragon was just a fancy way to assassinate Net, similar to how in some manga people would assassinate their political opponents by getting them sent to the frontlines to die.

If Envidia succeeds, they can just say he died in an unfortunate accident fighting monsters (and potentially avoid Net's army of connections seeking revenge on the country).

If Envidia fails, the princess can just shrug and say "Well, we tried." The country gave Net a formal and public order to defeat a dragon multiple nations couldn't defeat together...I feel like doing that alone settled whatever debt the princess' country had with the king so if Net actually succeeded and returned alive, the king wouldn't have any ground to stand on in trying to ask them to assassinate him again.

If Net succeeds, I think he would become untouchable at that point. The poison dragon affects at least three kingdoms from that map so Net would be a hero in Envidia and that third kingdom. The idiot king would have to back down as he surely can't afford a war with the Hero's Party destroying everything in sight.

1. Poison Dragon probably isn't even that bad.
2. It's probably a fight or "palace arrest" to escort out the nation type plan.
3. Politics stink, but as a queen, she likely had little choice (is it a food issue?).

5. Net will hopefully befriend the posion dragon.

Interesting I didn’t think that far ahead but they are really covering their asses no matter what happens… unless he jumps out the window and escapes though. Then they got no leg to stand on.

Also importantly, if he does end up killing the dragon he could be recognized as a hero of the country, which might give him a lot of of protection

Yeah, I'm sure the princess can transform. There has been a hint towards it. Through I will say it is refreshing that the king is trying to sent out Net to his death by using his connections and a dangerous mission instead of assassins . I also like the fact that Net fled, because he couldn't defeat the poison dragon right now .
