Kind of dumb to kill him from a strategic perspective, right? They could have painted him as a werewolf who took advantage of his girlfriend to score a kill the next morning.
@spurgleburgle It might not be an entirely bad decision. One, they killed off a guy who already established an alliance with several students. Two, perhaps that decision will lead to suspicion toward those not within the group. Three, this could "solidify" that Hara was indeed a werewolf; the villagers would think that there are two werewolves now and so the remaining two decided to kill the one who identified one of their own. Honestly, I'm under the impression a lot of the students were looking for any excuse to prevent themselves from being voted out and/or to make sure someone else is the vote, and Hara happened to be the unfortunate sacrifice. With that in thought, trying to convince people Taira was the werewolf might be more suspicious than beneficial.
@AgentKuga I don't know. It's too early to tell, but it feels possible. I noticed after reading this chapter that the narration differs from the prequel; both Inoue and Airi's thoughts are shared with the audience. (Curiously enough, Ise's thoughts are left out so far.) In the prequel, as far as I can remember, only Airi's thoughts were shared with the audience - several others only had theirs voiced in a flashback. So yeah, kinda concerning there.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that I think Airi is all but guaranteed to survive. I get the feeling the author is trying to play the long game with her somehow. We all know there's a third series, and I'm willing to bet he wants to throw her world around a third time there.
@Ominous and @Dysisa thx for that I just really hope this manga doesn't end with a "bad ending"... I guess that's just my opinion but yeah... and I didn't know there was a third series becuz the first series said that they had completed the "first half" and this would probably be the "second half".
Yeah, Crazy Fox is the third one. Something tells me it'll involve a "killer" role, someone who is sided with neither the werewolves or the villagers, but has to kill someone every night.
