Thanks for the translation! I would love for them to make more sequels and explore other roles like the White Wolf and Doppelganger

Joe is the prophet but we never knew the identity of the bodyguard and spiritualist.

In a ideal game, the moment the number of werewolf = villager, the villagers are doomed since the wolves can 100% veto / tie whatever vote the villagers amass.
This game just added one more variable, the fox which overrules that principle. At first glance the fox looks overpowered since she's both immune to the wolves attack, but consider that she's the only one without a team + gets killed if divined by the prophet. Converting Joe to her side was the winning move.

I dunno.. I kinda like this one more than Beast side because there's no random death that breaks the game's rule (like killing the twin) and the MC winning here is slightly more justified than the previous one where she's just lucky that one of the villagers use her emotion than her brain

in general, I liked the relationship between yuki and morii. Considering that Morii gently addressed Yuki by name, that in the last game they more or less became friends and respected each other, although Yuuki did not show it to the last, but it was clearly visible from the Morii side.

In overall I liked the story but Im getting tired that for a second time in a row the mc managed to survive because one of the players played in a extremly dumb way.

@HayashidaYuki At the beginning, it says that if the number of villagers equals the number of werewolves, then the werewolves win. However, if the fox is still alive while those conditions persist, then the fox wins.

Eh, but at least this time it was very in character. Yuuki from the start was pissed at the 3rd werewolf for doing nothing, it kind of makes sense to me given who she was as a person to give the final fuck you and drag them down even if it meant going down too. She was also very much done with this game, I'm sure after doing everything she did it would also be hard to live on with that guilt furthering the idea of "this bitch didn't have to go through this, lift a finger to kill anyone and made me suffer alone, so fuck her"

@gomichandesu Yeah, I agree. This move was believable.

I remember the prequel pulled a fast one with little to no foreshadow outside the last chapter, and that always bothered me.

Holy.... well... I guess that's that. I wonder if Ayaka and Airi will meet in future arcs.

According to movie and rereading the manga, i've guessed everyone's roles:

Wolves:
Yuuki
Higuchi
Meari

Fox:
Ayaka

Prophet:
Joe

Bodyguard:
The guy who voted first cause according to the movie, he claimed to be a bodyguard before getting voted

Spiritualist:
Bowlcut hair guy bc before he died he mentioned he actually did divine someone, my assumption that he was the spiritualist and it'd make sense as why he raised his hand

rest: villagers

I think the ending was satisfying in that the way everybody acted is based on things we already know. Yuuki is bitter at the third wolf, jaded by having to kill so many people, and short-tempered, so we can at least imagine her throwing the game. My biggest regret with this series is that we never get to see the MC confront the fact that her and her crush surviving are mutually exclusive. It's not like she'd just realize, "Oh, my main goal for this game is impossible", it'd just be a question of whether she decides to sacrifice herself for him, or commit a "lovers' suicide" by killing him in the game, then herself once she won, or killing him and justify it to herself by saying he'd forever be with her in spirit. Instead, the ending isn't really up to her, and she just compartmentalizes it by deciding he wasn't really like her dad.

Though I think the conclusion to her romantic obsession was satisfying. She fell in love with him because he resembled her dad, but all she really wanted was someone who was there and would love her. Once he couldn't do that, she stopped loving him.
