It depends on what you liked about it but if you haven't read it yet, please go read Sweetness and Lightning ☺️
Do you know where it can actually be read? I have only find sites where it hasnt been completed or where it has the ending but skipped multiple chapters in the middle

Really sucks this got axed, not that surprised sweet family-life manga doesn't sell that well given the oversaturation of isekai, ecchi, and harem we have

oh man this one made me laugh and cry. wish id had found about it sooner it ended on such a bittersweet tone, like there was so much to show you but alas it wont be able to. i dont think ive ever felt attached to a cast of characters as much as this one, all the dynamics and relationships that i couldve seen build up, i wont be able to. im really enjoying the authors new work "now that we draw" and im definitely not taking that for granted. this is an underrated masterpiece 10/10.

Odd that amazing manga like this get canceled so early, and yet shit isekai carbon copies filled with dull harems and even slavery get renewed and even get anime and such.

Plus the most promising and unique (and also good) rom-coms and slices of life get canceled in favor of paint by numbers dark action stories and high school love quadrangles and such.

I've come to the conclusion that the Japanese just don't have much taste, as for things to get localized into English to even give us a CHANCE to buy it, it first has to succeed in Japan. Many things that would succeed in the west don't even come to the west except via fan translation sites like this, so they never get a chance to be paid for by those who would appreciate them the most.

Yes it's true that us readers can buy the untranslated volumes and such, but it's not a realistic or easy way to do things. Someone could really disrupt the Japanese manga scene if they found a way to fast translate manga (even if it was quick and dirty and not properly cleaned) and then show it to westerners with ads and optional donations / volume presales in order to crowd fund them.

Similar to Steam Early Access, but with Manga.

The worst part is that a lot of times, people find out about these amazing series too late to properly support them. I just found this, the damage is already done and it got axed. Its such a shame with how poorly manga is managed overseas because im sure theres loads of series that would have survived if it was given to more than just a Japanese audience. I mean, look at how a lot of western manga sites work today, they pretty much grab whats popular, a lot of them try to charge you an insane amount if you read a lot and as we've seen with the recent DMCA situation, they are willing to prevent a lot of these series from getting the attention the need. There really needs to be a big change to how they distribute manga overseas, if big Vtubing companies can hire fans to translate their videos for them, manga companies can compensate fans who do extreme levels of work to bring these mangas to a larger audience rather than treating them like criminals.
